Penn State played UAlbany in an elimination game in the NCAA Tournament.
The Nittany Lions were victorious over the Great Danes, 9-3.
The first two innings started out slow for both teams with only two hits.
Haylie Brunson had the first big play at the bottom of the third inning. Brunson doubled down the right field line, putting herself in scoring position.
However, the Nittany Lions were unable to bring Brunson home and went into the fourth inning with a zero run game.
Penn State's defense denied the Great Danes from scoring any runs in the fourth inning, as Bridget Nemeth recorded her second strikeout of the game.
