Jack Flaherty scratched from Sunday start in London; Cardinals Paul Goldschmidt to set 'world' record

First pitch is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. St. Louis time from London Stadium in the United Kingdom.

UPDATE: Jack Flaherty has been scratched from Sunday's start against the Cubs in London due to persisting stiffness in his hip that returned during a workout Friday. It is the same trouble he had during spring training that delayed a start. The Cardinals and right-hander sided with caution over ceremony. Flaherty's replacement at starter will be determined based on bullpen use Saturday.

LONDON — This has not been Paul Goldschmidt first visit to London, but when takes the field to man first base for the Cardinals in the first inning Saturday, the reigning National League MVP will do something no other Major League Baseball player has.
